Widgets Websites Print Pre-web

On the web, your work is fleeting...

When you work on the web, you know what it must feel like to be Andy Goldsworthy... at any moment a breeze may blow just a little to hard and the carefully constructed structure you've worked so diligently on comes withering down into a memory. I've been through 6 startups and each one has flicked the off switch, and years of work disappear from the web in a flash as if it never even happened. Most of my work I've kept in some form, but how does one get data off a 40mb Bernoulli disk? Here are a few things I've managed to revive in some form.

Halo Legends

EMPLOYER:

StoverPix

CLIENT:

Silicon Ridge

A website to accompany the release of the Halo Legends seven episode movie. It's always helpful to have great assets to start with and this had plenty. I delivered everything in flash scenes to Dave at Silicon Ridge and he translated that into his framework for all the animation and functionality.

BEA - Liquid Thinkers

EMPLOYER:

BEA

AGENCY:

Eleven Inc.

A good example of the power of Flash... even back in 2007. Try this in HTML5!!! Eleven did a great job on the design and production. My role was as Creative Director on the front end and through production, as well as maintenance after deployment. I'm glad I was able to save this from the Oracle acquisition.

Marx Brothers

EMPLOYER:

StoverPix

CLIENT:

Silicon Ridge

I can't believe this is still up and available (from 2003). I did all the design and motion graphics on this, most of the Flash work, and some of the programming. Dave did all the final technical tweaks and heavy duty programming logic for delivery.

BEA IT2IT

EMPLOYER:

BEA

CLIENT:

Internal Community Leads

An internal initiative designed to focus on four different specific audience communities. None of the external links work on this.

BEA Rahal Racing

EMPLOYER:

BEA

CLIENT:

Internal Promotions

A web experience to accompany BEA's sponsorship of Rahal Racing. This ended up being 100% me from concept to delivery. Again, I was able to save this one.

Anarchist Cook Book

EMPLOYER:

StoverPix

CLIENT:

Silicon Ridge

A promotional site for the movie "The Anarchist Cookbook". Everything in the content area is synchronized with the video. Scrubbing the video will also scrub all the animations. Pretty cool. It uses the same framework layer as the Marx Bros. site.
