One to Six Color Print Publishing
There's a bit more stress designing for print than there is for web! Anyone who has done print publishing knows the prepress-stress effect. That feeling you get at the press check where no matter how many times the piece has been proofed, some stupid misspelling might rear its ugly head and all the film work and plates have to be redone. Then there are all the variables: the high-res imagery being properly produced; the color sync and separations; screen alignment; fonts; kerning; and finally the surprise of the color coming off the press. It's gotten a lot more fool-proof, but the nuances are still very similar. Here are a few pieces StoverPix has designed and produced over the years.
